Citroen Musuem In Paris

Post by VisaGTi16v »

This is from the Visa mailing list on Yahoo. Would love to go there, so many Visa's including the Lotus designed prototype one with an esprit engine in the middle and another even wider 4wd one I have not seen before

Yesterday I was in the Citroën Conservatoire in Paris.
I would like to share the pictures I shot with all other Citroën
enthousisast as the conservatoire is not open for public.
I added some of the pictures here on my website:

I hope you'll enjoy them.
Feel free to leave your comments in the guestbook.

Thanks for posting that link Darren.
Brilliant pictures! I believe that the Conservatoire is not generally open to the Public, otherwise I'd love to go over and have a look. Anyone know otherwise? Clearly the guy who took the pictures got in there somehow!

yer I doubt it is open to the public however im going to make it my mission to find out how to get in :)
the other thing was last year there was a massive Citroen meeting at Le Mans in france in August time. About 3000 of them! They all drove around the inner Bugatti circuit there as well. All types including a couple of Visa's from the musuem. They had a meeting in 2001 as well. I guess its some national french citroen club. Will try and find out more as I want to go to the next one

Had a quick look for further information, seems a good starting point is the "Amicable Citroen Internationale" who represent all the various Citroen Clubs Worldwide and work in partnership with Citroen.
See http://amicale-citroen-internationale.o ... ,0,0,1,0,0
They actually held their last meeting at the Conservatoire in Aulnay, and one of the items on the Agenda was "visits to the Conservatoire" (I assume for their members) :
" - Organisation of the board election
- Citroën internal information :
- Conservatoire's visits
- Show Room on the Champs Elysées
- Cooperation scheme between ACI and Citroën "
This organisation seems like a good place to start, possibly via the CCC in the UK??
Julian Marsh who runs Citroenet http://www.citroenet.org.uk/ has been running a campaign reference Conservatoire entry for enthusiasts and wrote to Citroen France with a petition. More details on his website under the Miscellaneous link, then the "le Conservatiore du patrimoine" link (I can't hyperlink direct to the correct page)
