If you have it off the car, how about approaching a local engineering company to make a copy ( allowing for wear and tear ) ?
Just a long shot !

the company i work for could probably make one, but i have no specifications for one, im converting an auto into a 5 speed manual so the fly is totaly diferent (i have a box but the breakers will not sell me the fly no matter what i offer!). if there is any one in the midlands that can let me borrow a V6 fly for 1 week day i can use our CMM to map the entire thing and get as many coppys made as we want. The car is so rare though that i doubt there is one of these sat on a shelf in any scrapyards.

Well, you could always buy the engine from the scrappy, copy the flywheel, and then either sell the engine, or keep it as a spare.
Depends on the costs involved though.
Perhaps Vanny would want to put the V6 into his motor ?

The flywheel for Xantia V6 with manual box should be £274.13 less any discount.(if that makes you feel any better, I doubt it).
part number 0532G7
Not that you really want to be buying one if you can help it. You should be OK using the flywheel from a 406 V6 if a Xantia one can't be found s/hand.
If R Edwards & Sons can't help, try Peugeot & Citroen Recyling on 01903 767676

Or M & M of Holmfirth on 01484 687706 .

Jon at this rate when I finish this project I’m going to let you test drive it! Thanks once again for your help.
The V6 I have managed to get all my Xantia parts from is in Sweden and they want £2000 for the engine as it has 600 miles on the clock! So far this project including the 406 V6 and Xantia Activa has cost me £1000. The parts I need from GSF/Neat/Citroen works out at an extra £1500. If I could afford the V6 I would get it shipped and sell the V6 out of the 406 on but at this point I simply cant afford it :(
Hopefully some one out there in the UK has one second hand other whys it will be the £322.10 inc vat that Citroen want for one. (puts the project back another month and its already 3 months away from all the funds being avalalbe!)
I will contact all the people Jon suggested tomorrow and see if it comes up with anything :)
Many thanks guys

Diferent engine unfortunatly, one is the 90 degree V6 the other is the new 60 degree one. The other problem is these engines have only been avalable since 97 so there arent that many of them around. from what i can tell (and i think this is good news) any Xantia V6's that turn up in breakers/scrapyards here, end up being fixed and put back on the road. I know of 6 cars that this has happend to, to my knowlage no UK company has broken a V6 xantia yet!

It's probably a long shot but have you tried any Peugeot breakers as the 24 valve V6 citroen engine is basically the same as that fitted to the Peugeot 605 24 valve 3 litre V6.
Good luck.

Sorry ActivaV6uk, just read the other posting about the different angled V6 engines. I guess if it was an XM project you could have used the Peugeot V6 unit.

thanks for the imput any way Doc, yeah the 605 and Xm do use the same engine. the one im after is in the C5, Xantia,406 and 607 but they are pretty common with the auto box on them but my being dificult wants a manual. ive faxed my PR net info over to my local citroen garrage and they are trying to see if they can get me any discounds the problem is the bulk of the cost is the "V6 activa subframe" (never used in the UK) and the fly wheel for the v6 (cant imagen why any one would ever replace one)! normaly they will only give discount on stock item as it helps them move sock around!
