Citroen/Peugeot interchange of exhaust parts.

Post by admiral51 »

I forgot my lads C4 had an exhaust blow and just passed the mot with an advisory on it.
As it is being sold i want it to be as right as it can be so i am looking at replacing the rear section.
I am struggling to find a replacement from local suppliers but have found 1 online but it gives a Peugeot part number, not Citroen.

The part number from Service.Citroen is PSA 3074, but have other numbers 1730 H5/16 073 440 80

Searching online i have found Online Automotive selling one for £48 inc vat but the part number is PEU6087

Can anyone confirm they are the same part ?

I am happy to send via PM the vin for the C4 but it is a 1.4 16v 2005 model.

Thanks in advance.

The part no is 1730H5 - the PSA 3074 is listed under the description; no idea what that is about! Listed by Peugeot for the 307 with the same engine.

£126 from the dealer, but there is a cheaper part for older cars, but that's still £73. I'd have thought your local factors would turn up one cheaper than that.

Bosal number 190-141 there are some on e-bay as low as £30, but delivery in top of that.

Thanks Richard, i still have yet to get the hang of the Service.Citroen part numbers on the diagrams.

I will order one with more confidence now, and no i will not blame anyone but the boy if it does not fit :)

Ordered rear silencer and clamp for £65 inc Vat and delivery :)

I cannot let the car go not being right, and i guess/hope the less that is wrong the stronger the asking price [-o<
