Xsara Electric Windows

Hello to all

On the drivers side , the electric windows of our Xsara estate go up and down if you keep on the button but also if you quickly press the button they can go down ALL the way in one hit and up ALL the way in the same manner. We find this very useful.

However , on the passengers side , you have to keep the button pressed.

Is this the normal operation and can we change the passengers to operate in the same way as the drivers ?

I looked at this on our old Xsara but came to the conclusion that it would not easy at all. The higher level cars which have one-touch operation have a different loom, different switch and different motor. I'm not sure what else (BSI? BSM?) is different but there has to be some kind of different programming somewhere to control the windows.

Removing and carefully cleaning the buttons sometimes cures this.
Use Servisol or similar electrical spray, not WD40. If unavailable then Isopropanol will do the trick.

On the LX model it's standard to have one-touch only on the driver's side.
