Hi,
Does anyone know if there is rubber between the top part of the upper strut mount (the black block where the sphere screw into) and bottom part there it mounts to the car? (B within attached photo) The only thing I can now think of is a bad strut bearing similar to a normal shock and springs vehicle, there there is play due to a bad bearing or rubber bushing within the mount.
My C5II continually has a harsh kickback sent back to the steering wheel while driving over minor bumps. It us especially apparent at low speed. They only thing left replacing are the hydraulic rams, spheres, top strut mount where the spheres mount to, and the steering rack. (I have replaced the lower arms that include the bushings, lower ball joint, drop links, inner and outer tie rod ends).
Thank you.

Re: Front hydraulic strut mount replacement?
There is a company who refurbishes strut tops (although I do not know if they do those for the C5), and has come highly recommended by forum members. Their details are as follows;
