C5 SPEC, 2006 MODEL YEAR?

Post by HDI »

What power rating would a 2006 MY C5 2.0 HDI Exclusive have? Also, would it have a lower engine bay cover, and what are the cam belt replacement intervals?
Any particular issues with this model.

Thanks.

You would need to pop up the VIN so that somebody (not myself) with the right level of access to the Citroen Service website can look up all of the details for your vehicle.

I'm sure that the engine would be the 138bhp version as this came in with the facelift and wasn't superseded until half-way through the X7 run. Mk1 and X7 had undertrays so I'm fairly confident your should have.

Post or PM your VIN and I'll email you all the info you need on it.

In the interim, the Mark II C5 2.0 HDi 16v came in 2 flavours - the 138 Bhp with and without a particulate filter.
General specs are for the 2.0 HDi Mark II:
CC: 1997
Power: 100 KW / 4000 RPM
Max Power (DIN): 138 HP - 4000RPM
Max Torque (ISO) (Nm at RPM): 320 to 2000
Emission Control Standards: 3 or 4 (without and with Particulate filter).

As for the undershield / Underbody Protection, that will depend on spec. / options and will need the VIN to determine if yours had it at factory or not.

Timing belt official recommendations:
Every 160k miles or every 10 years under normal driving conditions or every 112K miles / 10 years under 'severe' conditions.

Overall, very reliable car and engine in my experience, plenty of power for everyday needs.
