What's happened to Easy diagnostics?

Post by Gibbo2286 »

I've just logged into the site first time for a long time, apart from an offer of a Dell laptop and Lexia 3 all the Citroen stuff is missing, the Citroen motif isn't even in their listings.

I think you missed the oem tools tab below the laptop
They still sell Lexia.

I wasn't looking for Lexia Elma I wanted a Citroen workshop manual on DVD, I have one of theirs from way back but it's got over heated in the sun and warped.

Maybe better to phone them up.

That does seem to be absent, I guess it's phone only as Paul suggests.

There used to be dozens of those DVD manuals on Ebay but they've all gone too except the odd one in foreign parts, I wonder if the trade mark owners have been getting tough.

Quite likely, they have changed the Diagbox activation process too since April 2017. The notification is here: Diagbox Changes Bulletin

Gibbo2286, I use http://www.emanualonline.com/, and used the download option. Good price and easy instructions to install. I have one for Citroen and one for Vuaxhall.

Don't they require a VM to open though Stu? I remember this coming up before on another topic and they weren't highly regarded.
I've just read the 1 star reviews... (as I always read those first on a product)

What does this mean for those of us still on old versions like 7.15 ? And does it affect the ability to do initial activation of old versions during a reinstall ?

I tend to use mine off-line anyway Simon. It can be a bit of a pain having to constantly close the requests for activation that might occur, but I prefer doing this until more is known about how this change may affect older versions.

I do know that the system can be deactvated if you go into a menu option accidentally, where it asks you for a user log-in. If you back out or cancel it, it deactivates.

I'll keep an eye out in case I see anything.
