For those of you with 1/2" impact wrenches this set of Draper Expert Deep Impact Sockets is £4.29 delivered on ebay. It's a new seller so I'm guessing it's a loss leader to get some feedback as they usually sell for around £20.

I've ordered a set anyway and will report on weather they turn up or I take a refund.

Couldn't agree more that a compressor is critical for the diy car enthusiast.
We only have a baby one and it's no good for tools but for blowing out dust and pumping up tyres its the nuts.
I do so miss the old one I had, it was massive and once pumped up I could use it for an age without the horrible noise kicking in.
I will replace it with a medium size one when I am able.

That set of impact sockets is almost too good to be true James... Draper Expert is just about passable quality in tools too.. Most of Draper's mainstream stuff is utter rubbish but their Expert range is OK for occasional hard use... It's definitely made of a better grade of cheese then their usual stuff...

I always rated the Draper Expert stuff if it's tools that are hit or generally are expected to break. It's cheap enough to not get upset.
As far as proper quality tools go Draper doesn't even register.
At £5 if the 19mm takes the wheels on and off for 6 months I'll be happy.

I already have a set of impact sockets. Have had them for years. They're not the deep type but still suit me for what's needed. Mostly wheel bolt removal it has to be said!

I might have been tempted if there had been two sockets to fit the 16mm and 18mm A/F bolts and nuts that PSA like to use. Never seen them in impact anywhere.

Halfords and screwfix both do them Paul, as do numerous online shops. You'll be relieved of £15-20 for the pair.

Halfords Professional tools I've always found to be very excellent...

A lot of socket sets have a 'hidden' deep 16mm socket: the small spark-plug socket ;)

Which is exactly why I haven't got them! Where's the reasonably priced alternative?

Budget of £2 sound more reasonable?

I think that Ebay listing is a mistake or a wind up, it should be £42.99 not £4.29 :)

Agreed, but the seller already sold one and didn't pull the listing. I've been robbed as a seller on ebay numerous times so I feel no guilt taking advantage of a mustake like this.

I half expect them not to turn up and the other half thinks well this is someone well advised trying to get 10+ feedbacks rapidly. Selling with under 10 feedbacks on ebay is neigh on impossible. Could just be a loss leader on old stock.
