The rear offside door of my 2010 Citroen Relay Enterprise has become quite stiff and I suspect the door hinge/hinges are seizing.
I have tried various methods of trying to lubricate the hinges without success.
I have tried drifting the hinge pins out but they are too tight and won't budge.
Short of removing the hinges and pressing out the pins I can't see a remedy.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
Thank you
Benita

Re: Citroen Relay door hinge
The only way is penetrating oil and keep working them - sometimes making the distance between the two parts of the hinge bigger by cutting into one 1/4 of it with a hacksaw will allow the penetrating oil into the hinge pin.
Sometimes they are so seized they have to be replaced - new hinge off dealer/ebay and paint it.

Thank you, I will try the hacksaw method.

Just to make it clear when i said 1/4 into the hinge i meant 1/4 round the radius of the hinge not 1/4 though the hinge pin!

Re: Citroen Relay door hinge
Thank you, I had realised that, however, I found a slightly different method.
I drilled a 2mm hole at a slight downward angle through to the hinge pin.
This created a small reservoir and allowed the penetrating oil to act.
The door is now much easier to move and I will keep topping up on a regular basis.
Thank you so much for your help.
