xm spheres series2 model vsx
Just a quick query can anyone tell me how many spheres are there under the car and what do they do and how critical is it to have the correct sphere fitted, its a long story but my local citroen garage is confusing me and his advice conflicts with another local citroen garage(i think i just heard someone say whats new about that)i am changing them and.... well.. their prices are also out of this world, would try and do them myself but dont have the facilities.many thanks
I think a series 2 XM will have Anti-sink - in which case I think there are 8 (eight!)
2 for front suspension (normal suspension - ride quality)
2 for rear suspension (normal suspension - ride quality)
2 for the hydractive (one front, one back) (allows change from normal to "Sport" mode by switching the extra spheres in or out as required)
1 accumulator (keeps pressure in the system; if your pump cuts in more than a couple of times a minute, it's on its way out)
1 anti-sink. (does as it says on the tin...)
I had 8 recon spheres fitted by Westroen in Manchester for £200 all in...cheap enough?
There are differences between spheres with dampers, volume and pressure setting
