Just bought an Activa with the intention of keeping it long term as a classic, but has a few cosmetic things to attend too.
First is the lacquer peeling on one of the doors.
Would this Chipex do the trick? http://www.chipex.co.uk/car-lacquer/

Re: Xantia lacquer
The problem is moisture is already under the lacquer and the only way to stop it pealing is to remove it all and expose the colour coat. The colour coat is porous and would have/has absorbed the moisture across the whole panel. It will be imposable to dry the colour coat in reality as well as getting it smooth and unmarked when removing the lacquer, so the only option is to sand back to base and respray.

Re: Xantia lacquer
Al is right there, which is why mine has got much worse with the peel. If I blew it over it would peel again after a short time.
If its a small area you might get away with just spraying that panel

Re: Xantia lacquer
The lacquer on mine has started crazing on roof and bonnet. I thought about wet and drying it and blowing some fresh over it, but decided to leave it as is, the bodywork is the only downside, be nice if someone did a matte silver paint as they do black and Nato green!
