Hi all, really need some help on this one.
I have a berlingo B9 1.6 hdi 110bhp multispace. It hesitates slightly between 1500 - 2000 rpm only. If i feather the throttle say at 1700 it hesitates, if at that point i put my foot down it disappears instantly. So if i drive with accelerator depressed hard it never does it, only when it is almost in a stop position slightly depressed.
It only happens under load too.
Now, long story but i have visited many garages etc. None have correctly diagnosed the issue.
I have had a new cam shaft sensor
New egr actuator/valve (electronic) * done by an indy so not sure if there is a procedure to program new one into ecu.
Egr inlet/outlet port clean
Air inlet manifold stripped down and cleaned
New turbo core
I have physically tested vacuum pump - ok
tested operation of turbo actuator manually - ok
cleaned air flow sensor
cleaned oxygen sensor
cleaned turbo supply tube (gauze already removed)
removed and cleaned sump, oil was in excellent condition no debris sludge etc, I was very surprised at the quality.
I measured sensor voltage back from MAP, 2.39v at idle, it does go up with acceleration. I thought the voltage should be around 1v!
I have diagbox but unable to read fuel trims, not sure if this is possible.
I have attached fault logs from ecu and 2 x faults.
It pulls well throughout the whole rev range, no smoke.
I would really appreciate any help.

Re: Berlingo 1.6 Hdi hesitation when accelerating lightly
The symptoms match a failed EGR; and that is what the fault codes are supporting. What valve was fitted? If it wasn't a genuine Valeo one, then I would seek one out ( you can get from e-bay for £100) fit that and see where it takes you.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I called the garage today and they said it was valeo then i think he said after it was the same as so i will call them again to confirm if it was valeo or not.
Is it that sensitive to other makes?

Thinking about it, would a new egr regardless of make create the same error codes and cause the same hesitation while driving? It's like no difference between the old valve and the new one.
