Was it an HDi perchance?

I feel so sad, i'm going to try and keep my 3.0 V6 C5x7 for many years. I've never had a spring suspension car, and i don't want one after owning 1x BX, 4x Xantias and 2x C5's, when ever i'm a passenger in a non hydro car it feels so rough , this new Citroen suspension system they are working on better be a worthy successor or i'm going Audi/Tesla and getting Air suspension.

I've seen precisely none here in France over the last week or so, and only a few C5 Mk1s. I've seen far more BXs and Xantias, and there's 205s everywhere, so it doesn't surprise me to hear this news.

Maybe they should look, take stock and realise they started to loose their way a long while back... If lots of our French (and no doubt wider European) friends are still running BXs, Xantias and 205s then that should speak volumes to them as to the future direction they should take...

Every time I drive my 207 I compare it with a 205. there is no comparison at all. The 205 is the better car in every possible way by a very large margin.

Since the mid-90s PSA have been going backwards and the production of the very last hydropneumatic C5 now competes that backward journey.

The C1/107 was the only decent car to come out of PSA in recent years and that wasn't even a PSA car - a Toyota in disguise...

Says it all, sadly :(

Not the only 1 as fas as I'm concerned. I am still pretty impressed about my C6. That car really is something special and truely Citroën.

And also cancelled quite a number of years ago now with no replacement ? Says it all really...

My dilemma with Citroen loyalty is that not only have they abandoned hydropneumatic's - one of the main draw cards for me to the marque for decades, they are dragging their heels badly when it comes to the EV revolution, and are going to be left behind there too if they don't pull finger really quickly.

As I'm well and truly in the EV camp now in desire at least (I have a cheap one already for city and runabout use and I'm patiently waiting for mid sized long range EV's to appear and trickle down into my price range) so if they can't even produce an EV that isn't just a rebadged Mitsubishi, then they are a lost cause to me... apart from the C-Zero and Ion which are a rebadged Mitubishi i-Miev they haven't produced or even announced that they are working on an EV of their own.

These sentiments curiously echo those expressed in Cadillac circles where, I think, the general consensus is the last proper one was 2004(?) Deville.

Of course, we only have ourselves to blame, if they couldn't sell whatever old tot they stuck their badges on & put in the showrooms, they'd start looking at why that was.
