I have run 80% vegoil with no problems, mixed with pump diesel experimentally you understand. If you build a heated tank etc you can run on what the local chinese takeaway sneak into the bushes!
It does make you feel hungry when you follow it.

I just remembered this. I saw a site where they tested using rape seed oil in a truck over 60K miles (US). They say that the injectors were a bunged up and needed cleaning after that mileage running on pure rape seed oil only. The other side effect was lubricity as the rape seed was not as good as diesel for fuel pumps.
They recommended 50/50 dino diesel and rape seed to ensure lubricity as the lubricity wouldn't change so much with only 50% veggie oil but would markedly with 100%.
Can't find the website though. [:I]

I may try out the cooking oil tomorrow. So if any one out there sees a smoking XM stuck on the hard shoulder of the A14 near Bar Hill, it will probably be me.
Next week Lard; And how to get it in the tank...

I have been testing mine over last couple of tanks and am getting about 52 mpg - mostly open road driving but some city driving also.
