Hi,
I have noticed that the steering rack boot / gaiter for my 2005 C5 II 3.0 V6 has been cracked / split, which now allow me to see the rack when I turn the steering. Can someone let me know what the of lubrication does the rack / pinion use? Oil or grease? And if so, what brand of spec do you recommend? Thanks.

Re: Steering rack tie rod gaiter / boot cracked
Stu,
Thank you for your reply. My local garage placed a new boot onto my steering rack, however, it does not have the breather nipple, which is on the top right of the boot within the photo you have posted. Does it matter? Thank you.
