fumes entering cabin

Post by philtaxi »

hi. i have a citroen c4 picasso 2.0 hdi with two issues the first a well publised issue with the service light coming on and the suspension not rising and the second is more worrying, exhaust fumes entering the car. the car has no loss in power however today during its regen there was smoke pouring from under the bonnet and being sucked into the cabin. ive had a look and what i can just see at the botom rear of the engine is a lot of black soot. i wasnt able to see to much due to everything being in the way. any ideas???

Front exhaust flexi seems to be in a reasonable position to pour out fumes into the cabin should it be holed especially on regeneration..
