Diagbox not recognising engine ECU

Post by xantia_v6 »

As mentioned elsewhere, I ham having some issues the the THP engine in my 2011 Peugeot 308. I have a diagbox installation which appears to be working in all other respects, but it cannot recognise the ECU version in my car. To be clear, if I manually select a similar ECU type, it can communicate with the ECU, read fault codes and erase them, but I can't get any meaningful parameter measurements or perform actuator tests etc., as these require ECU-specific interpretation.

For a 2011 car, any of the V7.xx versions of diagbox should probably be OK, but in November 2011, the dealer updated the software in the engine ECU, and I suspect that it is now a much more recent version, but I don't know which version of daigbox I need, or if the problem is really something else. I have tried versions 7.62 and 7.76. The change lists at https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/wiki/D ... 9/7.06_On) don't seem to list any relevant diagbox update.

Any ideas out there?
