Anyone put 17" wheels on a MK1 C5

Post by waynedance »

Has anyone put larger than 16" wheels on a MK1 C5?

IF so did it make much difference to the ride? What size would be advised 17" ?

215/50/17 would be the closest Diameter 642.9mm vs 646.8mm speedo error of -0.06%

I had 18's on my one with 225/40x18. Made the side slightly firmer, but not anywhere near uncomfortable. Also sharpened up the steering. They were standard aftermarket wheels and offset, I had 20mm hubcentric spacers to get the correct offset.
