To remove the pump and dearmour is not hard but a methodical approach and time you will have success.

It maybe worth checking there is a supply going to the stop solenoid as I had broken wire there.

Our ZX was bought as a non-runner with just the problem described above, although on ours the wire was broken as it came out of the actual solenoid. I actually cut away the pump armour in-situ to replace that, although it may be harder/not possible on a Bosch pump as ours was Lucas. Possibly worth a try though if you have a 4" grinder & either a dremel or cold chisel for the tight spots...

Very true Kenny and a good excuse to do the cambelt and water-pump at the same time ;)
