The car should be on the lowest setting and left for a few minutes to ensure as much of the system is depressurised as possible, then check that the LDS levels should be between the A and B marks:

No errors for low fluid levels, but you may get a general suspension fault if it becomes too low.

I can't tell what C5 you have Simon from your profile. On the X7 there is a joint power steering / suspension fluid level warning, but can't remember it this is also on the Mark II. I'll see if I can find out. The fact that your error went awa y when you disconnected and reattached the ECU plug suggests that your car might benefit from a BSI reset. If you are going to do this, leave the battery terminal off for a good 10 mins before reconnecting it and following the rest of the procedure. This will help to clear down the ECUs properly.

GREEN???? I hope not! It should be an orangey colour. Please don't say you have put LHM in instead of LDS?

came belt done 7/7/09 in the service book though, so change soon as well?

Personally I would only use the recommended fluid. In this case the Total Fluide DA which has replaced LDS. There are 2 litres here for £17.99, the same price per litre as that other stuff!

Just the name of the product - MT75 - would worry me as it sort of implies that it's SAE 75. I would dearly love to look at the back of the bottle to see if there's any more technical information there. The lack of a technical PDF or specification page also worries me.

I've looked at the picture and there is nothing there apart from saying it meets the PSA spec. I still wouldn't use it due to the lack of information. I've heard it is made by Shell and is also recommended by the RAC shop, but I wouldn't necessarily say that means anything either as they are probably on kick backs! Can't seem to find the specs, so a no go for me.
