Parcelforce think you are out in the wilds too Davie... Initially the lady at the PO counter said Monday and then said 'Hold on, due to the remote location, it'll be Tuesday...'daviemck2006 wrote: Now, most eBay sellers charge me loads extra for postage, anything up to £20, as they claim I am highlands and islands. I'm willing to bet that you weren't charged £20 extra! I never buy anything from eBay that wants extra for postage.
The Blower wasn't exactly cheap to send but way less then £20... Lots of eBay sellers charge outrageous rates for postage. I was once quoted £7.50 for a replacement vintage wireless knob to be sent to me... I told him no thanks and got a snotogram back from the seller!
I believe they do it so they still make a profit on the item even if it sells at auction for a silly, low price. That and ebay fees can swallow any profit and actually cost the seller money if things go really cheaply at auction.
It's eBay and PayPal's fault for their outrageous charges.
