WHAT IS THE BEST OIL TO USE FOR A ZX1.9 TD

Now that I have had my car tuned, I want to know what is the best oil to use for my oil change. Is synthetic better or semi? Also, what brand. Thanks

I've had very good results from Duckhams Diesel QXR. My ZX runs the same on that as it does on Duckhams Fully synthetic, both give a much smoother feeling engine than running on mineral oils. I bought a LOT of mis-priced 1l bottles of both (£1.88 a litre for either), but if I was paying retail, I don't think the fully synthetic is worth double the price of the QXR.

Having just bought a td xantia I asked my wife to find out what oil is recommended by citroen(she works for Total uk's lubricants division)Total quartz 7000 was recommended by their technical advisor
for the xantia so i would imagine the it would be the same for your zx
