My mistake lol, it's only just clicked that the Crewe suffix was TU (perhaps more fitting for the smaller petrol engine cars). The basis of my error being a Pug 309 owned by my parents that was actually bought used from Grocott's and reg'd E555 AFM.

Must try and find time to check if that and the BX still exist according to the DVLA site

I just had a call from the indie. It's passed the mot and he's had a dig round for some spares and found a complete set of hydraulic pipes. He's going to see if there's anything else in his stores. He said my pipes aren't too bad and he's coated them with grease for me.

Excellent! You can just see the BX is desperate to wee just a little LHM all over that lovely new drive Dave ;)

No worries if it does as LHM stains soon fade :)

I must say that BX is just about lovely and definitely a keeper :D

The indie said there's no rust whatsoever. Now it has a new home with plenty of room to work I can't wait to get cracking on it! It's not immaculate Jim and has some battle scars on the other side. It will be nice to put a few miles on it next year.

Battle scars just add to the character and patina of an older car Dave... I like them. Shows it's lived a bit...

I reckon you're going to really enjoy both sorting her out and driving her.. You must bring her to a rally or two next year ;)

Well it's got a long way to go but at least it's moving in the right direction. I don't think I'd trust it on a good run yet, I really want to get the atf clean which is still going to take a few more flushes. I have to put the dash back together, stripped to repair the speedo which I'm pleased to report was fine today. I have a complete interior to fit because the original one is poor. And that's just the start really. The biggest urgent job is the cambelt, I'm fairly convinced it's still on the original one![emoji32][emoji32]

Ouch! I'd get that done ASAP, if not sooner...

Dave, if it's an 8V petrol then it's an easy one... By 90s PSA engine cambelts standards anyway....

I've done loads of the old north south cambelts Jim. Mainly Ford and Vauxhall, I also did a GS many years ago. But never done a sidesaddle, always looks tight and fiddly to me.

Nowhere near as bad as it looks Dave... There's space aplenty down there :)
