C5 heater pipe

Post by atr »

Hi
I hope that you can help me with an issue I have on my C5 (facelift) 2007 petrol 2000cc vehicle. my problem is that the angle (the one with the bleeder on it) that connected to the heater matrix is broken. the other end of the rubber pipe goes to somewhere behind the engine and this is exactly my problem - to find to where it goes. is it possible to reach it from the top (the vehicle on the ground) or the vehicle must be lifted? if you can attach a photo or a drawing, it will be a big help. I've looked in the Haynes book but found nothing regarding it (only how to dismantle the angle from the matrix's metal pipe.
Thanx for your help.

That is exactly answers my question. the pipe (item 8) needed to be replaced since it's upper connection angle (just above the figure "8") was broken. in order to replace it from above, I had to climb on the engine to gain access to it's lower joint. it wasn't easy, but it's done. btw. there is some sort of heat shield warped around the lower joint of the pipe.
Marc - again, you're a life saver!
