does it help their longevity by turning the brightness down? Mine are fine apart from the fuel guage one.
My 1.9D will do 90-95 easy, but then gets pretty close to the red line and I haven't been over!
Haven't really worked out fuel economy, I just know that a £26-28 fill-up generally lasts me slightly over 300 miles, with a lot of short trips and a heavy foot!!

Hi Tom, sounds like it might help. Anything is worth a try. I asked my friendly mech if it was pos to rewire the dash lights so i could turn them off during the day, he said it would be too difficult a job.. [:(!]

Hi Ian
With Dervdoctor, it was just a case of tweaking the fuel and boost and watching for the smoke. We then took the car for a run a couple of times. He used a pressure gauge but no dyno equipment was used. He has done about 80 cars according to him, and he probably knows the settings off by heart by now.
