Injectors with the Needle Lift Sensor are both rare and expensive now...

Scour scrappies and have one refurbished by a local diesel specialist is likely your best bet...

Why do you ask? Do you have a duff one?

We do indeed have a duff one Jim. Usual symptoms (in fact I believe you may even have had a look at this car in the past with your diagnostic wizardry)

If I say silver auto exclusive estate with black leather you may remember.

Yes, I most certainly do!!! It's a good car that and well worthy a bit of work to make it excellent...

I did indeed diagnose a duff NLS on it...

I know the NLS is not amenable to easy repair as I've tried but i do wonder if there may be a way around it and fabricate some sort of substitute NLS..

Have you had a chat with a local diesel specialist about refurbishing an NLS equipped injector and making the NLS bit work again?

that's my next step I think. It is indeed a car worthy of bringing up to being nice, Charlotte will enjoy it as her daily driver once we have done so - it will give the BX 19TRS a rest as well.

Can I ask when that was? Or if you still happen to have the part number on a receipt? I tried asking. But the local branch were clueless.
