wobbly steering

Post by shiney »

Hi
Please excuse my non technical explanation of the problem.
Citroen Xantia TD sensation 1.9 TD T reg.
For some reason the steering wheel is moving left then right when driving, It moves a rapid manner only about a cemtimetre each way. above %omph it it is still as normal.
The Tyre pressures are OK. is this likely to be something a whwwl balance can fix or is it more drastic?
Thanks

Sounds like a damaged tyre of a wheel rim that has had a clout. However, if it isn't, you should check the state of the track rod ends, wheel bolts (too obvious?), wheel bearings maybe (unlikely).

Sounds like it could be a damaged CV joint.
