Re: fuel filter
If it is like mine, with a locking ring around the top,
I use a pair of oil filter pliers to shift it after disconnecting the hoses.
I usually remove the bowl and make sure it is clean too - the lift pump can generate some swarf as it starts to break down which will destroy the diesel pump if it gets into it.
I did have a few flakes of gold-coloured swarf in the previous C5 that fortunately came to nothing, perhaps because I cleaned the swarf out prior to fitting a new filter.

Re: fuel filter
IF you put the Age/engine of your C5 in your Signature, then it will stop people guessing what you have.Taximan wrote:Hi can anyone tell me how to change the fuel filter on a 2.0 HDI c5 please.

The best bet is post the Vin number....

Re: fuel filter
Is it like this one? If so remove the fuel pipes by pressing down on the white tabs. Also the connector. Use a close fitting socket to unscrew the lid and use a new rubber ring.

- At the very top right hand corner of this page, you will see your user name.
- Click on the little triangle to the right of that, and select "User Control Panel" in the drop-down menu.
- About 1/3 of the way down that page you will see a tab labeled "Overview", click the tab to the right of this which just has 3 bars on it, then select "Profile" in the drop-down menu.
