I Just bought a Citroen Xsara 1,6 I petrol 03
I’m having problems with both my electric front windows, in periods they are not working, and it always happens synchronous, so there is no responds on both switches, when it happens
Guess it’s doubtful in the switches the error is, nor the connection in the door opening, ass it always happens synchrony with both front windows,
I check the fuse but nothing wrong there, but I now suspect the relay or any connector assembly there might be behind the dashboard.
Anyone now the location for the relay or connector so I can try switch the relay, or check the connection.
I’m not sure if there are relays with location in both doors, or one hidden somewhere behind the dashboard or in the engine room, but I suppose there must be some kind of plug/connector/relay behind the dashboard and will be grateful to now where.

I think that you will find that the power feed for both front windows goes through the drivers door, so it could still be the door wire.

If you're saying that because you think a master set of switches is located on the driver's door then they're not. All switches (two or four depending on how many windows are electric) are on the centre console below the radio.xantia_v6 wrote:I think that you will find that the power feed for both front windows goes through the drivers door, so it could still be the door wire.

Re: Front windows periodic not working
Thats corect there are two switches on the center consol below the radio, no one in door.
