Ami 6

Post by NewarkStuart46 »

Just back from a few days in the Tarbes area in the lee of the Pyrenees. Driving back to the airport I spotted an immaculate Cit Ami 6 being enthusiastically driven on the ring road (complete with a lean on a roundabout!). Now that was a flamboyant little car. First I've seen in donkeys. Didn't half make me smile!

I love the Ami 6 :D There was an absolutely immaculate one in dark green at the Chevrons Rally this year. A nut and bolt restoration job and it looked better than new..

It was/is for sale... Yours for the thick end of £7000!

You know I used to think they were the picture of ugliness. But I'd never seen one in the flesh (steel?) before and when I saw this I was totally won over by its charm. Just shows how wrong you can be.
