just a quicky......suspension height

Post by neilsxm »

hi all
what is the suspension settings for a xm 2.5 td estate
because the book of lie's (haynes)says 141.5mm front
and 136mm rear. It is impossible to get this measurement on the rear. where they say to measure it from middle of back axle to floor, mine is currently around around 210mm if i go any lower it's just too low
i.e no suspension travel
according to citroen it's different to the hatchback but they don't know the measurement????
---all help welcome--

Just use the old rule - exactly in the middle between the lowest and highest possible position, you can't miss that way. On the front, it's, according to one Citroen paper concerning XM front struts, 5 mm below that midpoint.

By the way, in Haynes manuals for BX and Xantia, vertical distances between wheel axis and some point of the subframe are given, so it could be this way for XM also. Take a look one more time.
