Re: Wipers stick disassemble
Hi Todi - I think you'll find there aren't any wires as such - it's all printed circuit - what seems to be the problem? Issues with wipers / lights can often be attributed to the Comms unit under the steering wheel. The Wiper control stalk is supplied as part of the Comms unit IIRC.

Interesting, haven't seen one like that, I'll see if I can dig up something for you, can you PM your VIN ( I don't keep older posts) as I'll need to pull specs for your car.

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
The left & right stalk module is pretty simple to pull out, since it is a U-shape module and can be pulled up away from the steering wheel ... access is slightly poor, but with smaller hands, you can dismantle everything to pull it out:
If your car is a saloon and need a spare, I happen to have an extra module laying around, obtained it while I did some testing on another car, it's not compatible with my car (no option for the rear wiper).

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
Probably your best option is to get a spare as VB says Todi - there are no stalks available separately from Citroen - all come as part of the main module and I've checked the wiring - nothing there that will help.

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
Maybe Vborovic can look at his spare module if it's a matter of which wire goes where?

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
I can take a look in the evening, but if I recall correctly, the wires/pins aren't easily visible nor accessible (I'd definitely have to break the enclosure apart and there are no guarantees I'd be able to bring it together and what I'll find underneath)

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
Does the wiring diagram not give pin numbers and wire colour?

Don't know that but as you can see in the first posting, there are no colors on those wires, there are 3 red wiresPaul-R wrote:Does the wiring diagram not give pin numbers and wire colour?

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
If they're all the same colour then you have a problem anyway and would need to find the other end of the wires to see what goes where. Sometimes the wires have tiny rings that slip on and each ring has a different identification on it - I can't see those in the photo but is there any sign elsewhere of these?
The fact that they are twisted together tightly implies to me that they are data wires. You could damage ECUs if they are not connected correctly.

Re: Wipers stick disassemble
I did look Paul - but I can't see any of those wires as they are internal to the stalk - the only wiring is for the activation of the wash etc on the main diagram - I think it's much like an electronic module - you'll get wires to the connector but nothing internally. A visual is likely the only way I think as these are not supplied as separate parts.
