Hello lads and lasses.
My question to all them in the know is this.
I have determined that my Picasso has had an ECU change.
I have read the VIN via lexia and shows as VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Needless to say not the vin on my V5 but now I know it had a change from a 2003 ECU same colour and spec.
I was just wanting to check the history on this VIN but I can not seem to obtain the reg number of the vehicle it was from by vin decoders.
I know I can try DVLA and motor shops along with a friendly bobby but I was hoping to do this with no cost and as little hassle as possible.
Any Ideas or links that answers this would be sweet as a nut.
Cheers

I don't think there are any more options than those you've mentioned, short of paying for an HPI check - but that will involve a few shekels!
