Dispatch running hot
Anyone know which fuse and in engine or glovebox fuse box controls the coolant fan? I noticed today the gauge travels right up to over 100 degrees, the drops slowly to about 85, sits at 85 for a while, then the same happens . Fan is not cutting in but obviously thermostat is working as the temperature drops. Any way f testing the sensor?
Cheers Rich

F11 in the passenger compartment fuse box controls the Engine Post cooling Relay as far as I can see, then ther's a Maxi Fuse 14 in the engine fuse box that goes to the Right Hand Fan Supply Relay - try checking those for starters - these diagrams are quite twitchy - given all the options (or not more to the point) for these vans!

Re: Dispatch running hot
been right through both fuse boxes Marc, had all connectors apart, but after reconnecting and allowing van to cool, started it and left running, ran to normal temp, just over 70, been for run up the road, gauge stayed the same, got it running now and it has gradually crept up towards 90, but earlier it would have been up to 100+ by now, what temp does fan cut in?
EDIT all ok now, stood over the engine operating throttle on top of injector pump and fan cut in, must have been bad connection somewhere earlier on.

Re: Dispatch running hot
I've got no data on the fans themselves - you should have [Edit: 2] 1 on your vehicle - but here's the diagrams of the parts for ref and some data on the cooling system - with opening and closing temps for the thermostat:

Only one fan Marc, and the fan is now coming in around 93 degrees.

Re: Dispatch running hot
Yes of course - I was looking at the twin fan housing and not the fan! These can have 2 fans fitted - so they use the same housing. - (post edited).
