I haven't had any direct contact with them but Bonello Autoservices in Byker have had a few positive mentions over the years.
Might be worth having a word and asking about their diagnostics/autoelectrics abilities

I know where that is, but I know of a French auto centre nearer.

If the Bosch unit couldn't comunicate with the ECU then the chances are Lexia wont either as it sounds like the ecu is not powered up. The AA guys have a lot of equipment/technical data available but i can't imagine an in depth check of ECU powers & earths were carried out in roadside conditions. You really need an injection system diagram to go further.

I have also removed the ecu and checked the wires on the plugs for signs of breakage or corrosion, all ok,no corrosion on e c u pins either.

The PDFs are too big, but when I get back later I'll provide a temp. link to the PDFs if you want them. I've sent them direct to Rich for that reason.

Local garage came over this morning with snap on diagnostic tool,as per AA, couldnt communicate with ecu, got an auto electrician coming tonight or tomorrow, if he cant get into it , then its booked in to Citroen for Weds am to get a diagnostic check. Local garage says its probably something simple, and an experienced Citroen tech will likely know exactly where to start.
Fingers crossed. Will update once Mark the spark has been.

A diagnostic check is not going to be the solution to this problem. If the ECU is not powered up no diagnostic machine will talk to it. Finding out why the ECU is not powering up is the key. Unfortunately i cant view the diagrams on a mobile browser, the site says it needs to be viewed on a PC which i wont be able to access for the next 3 days or so as im away from home. Just another thought though, does your model have an inertia switch ? Might be worth checking it hasnt been tripped.

What's that? I am hoping that the auto electrician will know what to look for, I did my own test this morning,on the harness and found 3 lives going to ECM,the rest could be earths, I don't know.

EDIT Googled it before, and no it doesn't have one, its electrical rather than mechanical. Mark the Spark didn't come tonight, so hoping he will tomorrow, if not will try another reputable electrics firm and see if they do call out work.

I included the Diagram with this on - although I don't think it has one on this model from the specs. The files are PDFs as they include both the Principle and the Wiring Diags - quite small and won't give much detail without the SVG viewer which you won't have on a mobile - but you might be able to get a PDF viewer.

Just a little tip when converting Sedre SVG files to PDF for easier viewing - it's possible to do so with no loss of quality at all and a very small file size. :)

Instead of converting it into a raster bitmap by doing a screenshot, open the SVG file directly in Google Chrome, then go to Print, under Destination click Change, then choose save as PDF.

In the preview check to see if there are any blank pages at the end - for some reason I find that there is always one blank page at the end when doing this. For example on a 3 page document it will probably have a 4th page that is blank - to avoid exporting the unnecessary blank page change the page print range to include only the wanted pages.

The built in print to PDF exporter in Chrome (unlike all other browsers I've tried) fully supports scalable vector graphics, so it creates a PDF where the original SVG is exported in a fully vectorised format. I'm not sure if PDF natively supports embedding of SVG or whether it converts it to a format PDF handles, but the end result is no quality loss and infinite zoom ability... :)

And it displays correctly on mobile devices as well, without additional software. I did a bulk conversion of nearly all the wiring diagrams for my old S2 Xantia V6 into PDF format using this process for easy display on an iPad. Time consuming to do, but it makes the wiring diagrams so much easier to navigate and zoom. Here's an example of one of my conversions:

Simon - interesting - but when I print out the diagrams - I use the built in print feature of SEDRE (where the zooming controls are) - I never use screen shots. This then prints to whatever printer I want - but in this case I use CutePDF as my PDF writer. However, looking at one of the Preheating Ignition document - it does look very blurry - compared to the others!

Looking at your conversion - very crisp and easy to read - I'll certainly bear that in mind for future, cheers.
Another issue though - trouble is I can't use Chrome with SEDRE - Google have stopped all support for JAVA in Chrome from Sept 2015 I believe - so I can't even open any SEDRE pages with that browser now. So it's IE 9 for compatibility!
