C4 Picasso DPF additive
As expected the light has come on - not too bad considering it's done 95k now. Ours is an early one, so appears to be on 176. Later ones use Powerflex - which is cheaper (£127 for the bag vs £170 for the early one). The housing and pump unit is the same part no, and the Eolys thread says 176 and Powerflex are mixable - so, anybody know if it's possible / OK to fit the later (ie cheaper!) pouch to the earlier cars?

Re: C4 Picasso DPF additive
You've probably read this Richard, Additive Mod - which deals with the 'rigid' reservoir and not the soft pouches - but as the table says, if the 176 is aready in the car then use the INFINEUM F7995. I'm wondering why they wouldn't say Infineum F7995 OR Eolys Powerflex if this was ok to do...
They also say to use the products exclusively - I guess it will be down to whether you would want to risk possible filter problems down the line
If it was me, considering you would normally only need to do this 2 or 3 times over the lifetime of the vehicle and the difference in cost being less than a tank of fuel, I would just go with the recommended.

Re: C4 Picasso DPF additive
Ministry of misinformation abounds!
This was posted by bobins:
Certainly if you look at the pouches on Eurocarcare they both appear to say Powerflex on the bag:
Early pouch
Later pouch
Later one shows compatible part number 1500PS which is the original part no for ours, now superseeded by 9678101680.
Maybe I'll just buy 1 litre of the PATS fluid and bung that in, should be good for 30k miles or so, which will probably see us out!
Edit, hold on a mo, misread that table... there is another one, which gives the same information as yours Marc:
So perhaps that is the differnce between the 2 bags, one is F7995 and the other Powerflex. By the looks of it, it doesn't matter if you add either F7995 or powerflex to 176, but you would need to know / note which, so that in future you didn't add the other one and gum it up!

Re: C4 Picasso DPF additive
It's a real grey area Richard as you can see! I just go by the service docs (as per the link I gave you which is identical for both the C4 Picasso 1.6 HDi and even the C5 X7) - up to 2013 at least, as this isn't something I would want to get wrong, given that I'm not a biochemical molecular scientist!

Re: C4 Picasso DPF additive
Bought the correct bag - got one from a dealer in Chorley I used before for £138 delivered; not great, but cheaper than the full price. On opening the box it says Powerflex on the bag, but the connector is green - so god only knows what is in it!! Will fit it later today after I have filled it up with diesel, and let it pump in additive from the old bag, just in case it goes wrong on activating it!

Re: C4 Picasso DPF additive
Don't do that many miles in this one!
Anyway, new bag fitted - it's not bad, once you realise that you don't need to remove the nut from the long stud poking down under the car that is all rusty. Inevitably this only happens once you have been to Halfords to buy a 13mm deep socket, only to find out that it's bigger than that anyway At least I didn't go back for a 14 or 15....!
Just as well I didn't buy just fluid as the bag was leaking, and there was a good bit of fluid sloshing about in the bottom of the casing. I've reset the counter and did the priming operation recommended in the procedure; however this didn't seem to do anything - just said operation complete. I tried it with the engine running, and it refused, so who knows what it's done!
