saxo engine code +8

hi guys looking for some help ,

i have just got a new engine and was told it was out of a saxo vtr 2002 plate only thing is i have 2 others sitting with stamps saying +5 on them i know for sure they are both 2002 saxo vtr engines buts the new 1 have got has a +8 stamped on it and im sure it says tupy 8 on the other side can anyone confirm what these mean and what the engine is from it also came with the rocker cover missing on it buit had a spare 1 flung in with it , any info on it would be appreciated

Can you get a picture up at all? The only differences in the 1.6 engines (apart from the 16v lump) were the change to roller rockers in about 99/2000 and then a revised head altogether with a manifold cat and different inlet (plus oil filters changed to the cartridge type) in 2001ish. So all post 2001 engines should be the 98hp silvertop type.
