What parts to keep from Xantias for the future?

Post by davoxx »

As Xantias become more and more rare, I'm wondering what parts should be kept?

I ask because I have 6 to dispose of, and other than as scrap there maybe no takers, so I'll pull off as much parts as I can for future use.

I'll keep the strut tops, electronic values, all activa specific parts.
Anything else I should pull off?

I have a head from a tct is it worth keeping?
Still have the seats from an activa - will be getting dumped unless they are worth keeping.
why?

Strut tops, Hydractive control blocks and electrovalves for sure, electrovalves do fail and are NFP. The large pipes from the hydractive control blocks to the suspension cylinders - particularly the rear ones that rust away. It's easy to make custom 3.5mm hydraulic pipes but those large 10mm pipes would be difficult to fabricate due to their bend patterns and flare joints. Power steering main supply pipe - NFP for a long time and seem to be failing now.

The activa seats will be useful to Will if they have headrests ;)

The main things are hydraulic based. Interior plastics don't seem to crack really so not worth it unless its wooden trim!
