hya
i would say look round scrapyards at small engined 205 peugoets
and see if the hubs are the same/similar or can be made to fit
i've seen 4 stud wheels on ax gti's so all you need to do is find 1 of them and rob it

I think most people do this conversion by taking the complete rear beam etc from a 4 stud wheeled Saxo, then using Saxo front struts and hubs at the other end. Its complicated as your AX driveshafts may not fit the Saxo hubs, and you might want to use the Saxo shafts too.
One of the Modifiers websites e.g. Revs maybe a good source of info as I'm sure a few people have converted AX's to 4 stud wheels using the above method.

Why would someone want to do this? Seems like a lot of work...

Because, alloy wheels for the AX 3 stud are very expensive and theres a limited range, whereas there's a whole range of alloys for the 4 stud cars that interchange with most later Citroens and Pugs.
I would imagine anyway.
