A question about the Activa rear axle

Post by elma »

A thought keeps occurring to me about the self steering built into the rear axle mounts of the Xantia. They have a few degrees of steering built into the mounts which I think is utilised through body roll. In the case of the Activa which barely rolls are these mounts present and if so why?

I think it works through the lateral force on the mounts, not the roll.

I believe the mounts deform under lateral load, much like the 405/6 ones.
