It will pass, if you have looked after it the way you are working on that V6 Activa.

I have concerns about the rear Anti Roll bar bushes (you cannot get a bush just the whole bar @ £BIG ) and as always, everything else on a big Citroen

March & April is always a worryingly busy time for me. I have three family vehicles all due for a test within a few weeks of each other. Happily, they've all recently got new certificates.

Re: C5 in for MOT tomorrow
I'm pulling a couple of mine and sorn'ing until the weather improves. Much better to have an mot due in the summer than at this time of year. Gives you a fighting chance of prepping in a tad of warm weather!

Re: C5 in for MOT tomorrow
How old is the X7? And how many miles has it done? Must confess a selfish motive in asking as I'm concerned over the (hopefully long term) future of my X7's rear A/R bushes also.
Oh - and good luck!

Re: C5 in for MOT tomorrow
Yes, I agree.
I've seen mention of getting urethane bushes made. They'd probably have to be split to replace the old rubber ones I guess.
Going back a few decades I did have a contact for urethane bushes for MGBs and Sprite/Midgets. ISTR that they were moulded and came from Australia. Unless we could get a decent order together I think we'd have to get ours machined from blanks.

102k, 2009 estate car.
The "problem" is that the bush is bonded and the bar is powder-coated , so a hard plastic on a flexible bar with a bush bonded to the plastic coating.
When the plastic gives up the bits eat the bush and you have to purchase a new bar as a complete unit.

Re: C5 in for MOT tomorrow
Yes, I've seen that reported.
I'm thinking of something along the lines of removing the remnants of the plastic coating and running a split urethane bush directly on the steel surface. It wouldn't be bonded but the bar would rotate inside the urethane bush - as it should do for the rubber bush really. Maybe a touch of grease to slow down any rust on the steel of the A/R bar.

Re: C5 in for MOT tomorrow
PU bushes run and wear superbly, and far outlive many OE 'rubber' ones.
This company stock a massive range of PU items:
www.priracing.com
(in Cheadle, Cheshire)
Bushes manufactured by www.superpro.com - see their site for the full range.
PU bushes best lubricated with silicone grease (available from PRI too).
