Is it the Air Doser you want to replace? Needs to be the same type for the car, but I'm not 100% that this needs coding to the vehicle as it's not like an ECU. If you need diagrams, confirm the part and provide a VIN via PM.

Thanks for reply Givmeabreak what it is I brought a 2002 c5 hpi non runner purely to use as spares for mine it has a faulty fuel pressure sensor but found it has a new Hp pump newish alternator plus a full tow bar which I needed + a lot more just in case spares well worth the£100 I paid for it , the point is when it does run it seems to tick over better and seems a bit more responsive when revved than mine I was just going to change different parts to see if I could improve mine Andy

You'll find that many ECUs do need coding and some electrical components. The BSI, engine ECU, anti theft , head unit etc are also coded. Make sure you keep the donor car VIN safe in case you need this to pull off any info from donor parts before transplanting. If you plan on keeping any Citroen or Peugeot, is might be worth investing in a Lexia diagnostic and a cheapish laptop for performing certain operations as third party code readers can't telecode or communicate with the multiple car ECUs. The Lexia can also read live data and perform many operations that the main Citroen garages can.
Easydiagnostics are a good uk supplier if considering.

Let us know if you need any diagrams, but we'll need a VIN.
