XANTIA FUEL LINE CONNECTOR SEALS?

Post by HDI »

Ok. so the fuel pump is now done but there is another fuel related issue. The feed and return fuel lines come into the engine bay, along the top of the timing end of the engine, under the plastic trim cover, then they attach to the engine side lines with plastic quick release connectors. For some time there has been a weep of diesel from one or both of these fittings, it makes a bit of a mess and there is a strong smell of diesel outside the car after use. Today I popped off each connector but there was nothing obvious, I think it is going to be the O ring seals that are inside though.
Does anyone know if the seals are available, where from and what the reference to the QR connectors is?

Pipe sections only I think. Sometimes making and breaking them can seal it again. May not have been seated properly.

Amazingly, after I disconnected and reconnected them the leak seems to have been cured! I really would not have believed that was possible! I'll give it a few more days to be sure.

The tabs you squeeze to release those pipes can sometimes seize up a little bit, preventing them from sealing properly. When you remove the hose, squeezing the tabs in and out a few times and maybe removing and refitting the pipe to the spigot a couple of times is usually enough to get them to seal again.
