Xantia radiator woes and bootlid alignment question

Post by mirafioriman »

Next problem my radiator is leaking

No one in the UK seems to have a new one. Seems like you need to get one from Denmark or Holland.

Does anyone have a good used one? It's a 1994 1.9d manual non air con car with the expansion tank up the drivers side of the rad when sitting in the car. Seems to have one large coolant hose each side and a smaller hose to the oil cooler on the driver's side.

Is this radiator common to other Citroen cars like the ZX and C15?

Secondly, the gap between the top of the hatch and the back of the roof. How wide should it be?

There might be cheaper elsewhere, but they are available: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissens-Radia ... 1758128370

The one in the link isn't the right one as it doesn't have the built in expansion tank that mine has.

Worth checking if you've got a radiator specialist local to you. It may be possible to get your existing rad re-cored, though less companies are willing to do work on plastic tanked ones unfortunately.

Maybe the from 1.8 petrol may fit? The BX non turbo diesel and 1.9 Petrols were the same.
