Xantia speedo needle ticking.

Post by Le-Mans »

Hi folks,
Ok so this is not a problem it's just a pain in the neck...
The speedo needle ticks at a rate relevant to actual speed. So at high speed its barely noticeable, but at average speeds its pretty annoying, and I don't always want the radio on to drown it out. I don't care if this symptom means my Xantia was clocked, or had major front end damage and repairs... I JUST WANT THE BLOODY TICKING TO STOP! BWAAAAAHHHH!
[:p]
Hehe... I don't have a Haynes manual yet, so anyone got any tips?

TIP 1 : Buy a haynes [;)]
TIP 2 : Read your Haynes [}:)]
TIP 3 : Use your brains - as Haynes can not cover all possible variants [:I]
TIP 4 : I believe your '94 Xantia still has the good old mechanical speedo cable - replace it.
