So here is another question!!
Last week the display in the car - series2 Xantia 1.9TD - started doing strange things it initially hit up to 28 degrees then dropped a bit but back up again - think it reached near 40 degrees at one point - well now it seems to have settled back down - what could the issue be?
I was not travelling in Morocco or anywhere like it - just around Dublin where temp was in mid teens max

Re: outside temp sensor
Thermistor failure.
They are generally located on the underside of the passenger door mirror, a little 'wart' at the bottom.
Fairly cheap to replace, about £13 at the dealer here.

Re: outside temp sensor
You might also find that you don't need to take the wing mirror off to replace it. On my last Xantia there was a small 'hatch' by the sensor dome.

Re: outside temp sensor
Thanks for this!
Kept meaning to look into this as mine consistently reads about 10C higher than the actual temperature. Will have a look into the thermistor.
Got quite a few random ones in the parts box...Will see if I have one that might do the job now I know where it is.
