C5 Mk1 looking to buy

Post by Mdon »

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before but I'm on my phone and can't seem to search, can anyone tell me if a 2004 Mk1 pre facelift C5 will have isofix as standard? My wife has decided my 3008 would be bettered served as her car so I now have her cast-off Ford Focus which isn't big enough for my mountain bike or kayaking kit. I've managed to find a extremely low mileage C5 for sale and I'm just in the process of weighing up which to go for, the C5 or a Saab 9-5. I had a 52 plate C5 hatch about 7 years ago so I'm well versed in them and I do quite miss my old C5 as it is still driving around my local town, I can't for the life of me remember if it had isofix.

Thanks

Mdon.

The two rear outer seats have ISOfix mountings.

Thank you! It would save a lot of confusion if Citroen would only fit the isofix tags on the seats!

Well I tried emailing the guy with the car for sale as I've been working 12hour nights and he hasn't replied so I guess he doesn't want to sell it. His loss I suppose! I guess I'll be looking at the Saab tomorrow as its my only free rest day before I start back on days on Sunday.

It is annoying when sellers don't reply.
I was trying to buy a cx estate on eBay for about a month before I gave in and bought the c5 instead. Left loads of answer phone messages, no reply!
Give him a call on the day you're free?

I might give him a ring tomorrow, the Saab I went to see at Newcastle was sold today and I looked at a petrol but I definitely want a diesel (50 mile round trip to work). I only have one free day where I could actually go down (3 hour drive just to get to him) between now and the 21st. Shift sure can get in the way! Why are there no decent c5 estates about when you want one!

Any knowledgeable forum members near the car that could go and look at it for you?

I need him to reply first to see if he'll take the wife's focus in part ex. Got a value of £1600 from one of them car buying sites but I'm not wanting to sell it to them only to find my own way home then get train tickets at over £100 to go and get the C5. It's all just too much hassle. All this trouble because the wife wants the soft ride of the C5! She really likes one all the way down in Peterborough that's almost 4 hours! I think it'll probably just being a waiting game till one appears for sale around the border region.

3k for an 11 year old C5! He's having a Turkish, even with that mileage.

Yeah I thought it was expensive but if he'd have taken the wife's 2007 focus in part ex I thought I'd have a cheap exchange price to pay. Anyhow, I've put a deposit down on a 57 plate C5 estate. Looks in good condition. Going to test drive and collect if it's ok on Sunday.
