C5 MK I Cruising mode.

Post by lexi »

This facility of suspension lowering by ECU at 70mph?
Is this just on Hydractive 3+ or does the basic 3 system have it too?

I've also wondered about this. As far as I can see, there's no reason to suppose that HA3 doesn'f have it, as it's a firmware function, and involves no additional mechanics or hydraulics.
Mine certainly seems to rise slighly on very rough roads, which is the 'other side' of the function.

I believe they all have the function, I'd be amazed though if anyone were actually able to notice it happening, I certainly haven't.

There you go then. The reason I asked is that my poverty spec ha3 does seem to cruise very well at over 70mph.
I have a towbar on the front of her for launching boats over rough ground. She automatically goes up a notch on the suspension at low speed over the bumps with a boat on.

Out of interest, what is your towbar attached to?

I have the the threaded recovery eye welded onto a tow ball. It then screws into the recovery eye thread on car
It would probably not be strong enough for a really big caravan but my nose weight with the boats is ok.
