Does anyone have any details of what Citroen do when they clean the head in situ on the thp engine.
Is this just a glorified version of the water/steam clean method of spraying water in the inlet whilst running the engine?
Cheers in advance

Re: Head/valve cleaning
Generally the valves on a THP engine are blasted with broken walnut shells, BMW dealers now have the relevant tool as standard equipment in their workshops. You can buy DIY kits for under £200 but you really need the adaptor to get a perfect fit on the head and oh don't forget to vacuum out the debris when the job is done!

Re: Head/valve cleaning
What can be done to prevent the build up again. I read somewhere about mods to the breathing system. Anyone heard of something?
