Rust preventitive application before winter.

Post by Stickyfinger »

Hello folks

Even if the car will be sleeping in the garage all winter,I am going to give it a really good soak in the stuff before wrapping her up.

DIY will be my method of choice and I will do it on my ramps. I have a pressure pot for under-seal with a fitting for thin spray attachments.

What size holes need drilling, in what places and with what do you plug them off with.

Cheers guys....

Buy a pack of gromets from the bay, size is dependant on you application weapon of choice but I think I done 10mm holes.
Most enclosed sections on my XM had access, I drilled into the cills under the front scuff plates as the access holes are at the back of the sills and a long old reach from there to the front, the other was the front outriggers, the Xantia are fairly well equipped with holes too from memory.

You going to spoil that car :-D
